Sunday Photography, LLC was founded by photographer Julie Tijerina to help artists, galleries, and collectors showcase their work with beautiful, accurate photography. Her background includes art documentation photography for a Dallas auction house, where she specialized in fine art photography and objets d’art.
In today’s digital world, strong images are often the first introduction people have to your art. Whether you’re applying to exhibitions, updating your portfolio, selling online, or sharing your work on social media, high-quality photographs with true-to-life color and detail can help your artwork make the impression it deserves.
I understand the care, time, and creativity that go into every piece, and I approach each project with that same level of attention. My goal is to provide professional, high-resolution images that are both exceptional in quality and accessible in price.
Take a look at the slideshow to see examples of my work, and if you have a project in mind, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s create images that help your artwork shine.
Photo shoots take place at my home studio in Waxahachie, Texas.
I strive to make the process easy and efficient, delivering your final images within 3–5 business days so you can start sharing and using them right away.
*If you need a particular image mockup, rather than additional socials, just let me know!
Artwork that includes metallic, iridescent, interference, or other highly reflective materials requires additional time and specialized photography techniques to accurately capture its unique visual qualities. To achieve the most faithful representation, I use cross-polarization photography and image compositing. The additional fee is based on the complexity of the artwork and typically ranges from $10–$40 per piece.
For 2-D artwork framed under glass or plexiglass, there is an additional fee of $15 per artwork to account for the extra care and techniques needed to minimize reflections and ensure a clean, accurate image.
When your images are ready, you will be emailed an invoice that includes a link to download your files. Payment within 5-7 business days is appreciated.
Sunday Photography, LLC accepts all major credit cards, ACH bank transfers, Venmo and Zelle.
To help your photography session run smoothly and ensure the best possible results, please keep the following in mind when preparing your artwork:
Frames
For the most accurate image capture, 2-D artwork is best photographed without a frame. Frames can introduce shadows and reflected color that may affect image quality. Of course, if the frame is an integral part of the artwork or needs to be documented for exhibition or sales purposes, I am happy to photograph it as framed.
Glass or Plexiglass
If your artwork is behind glass or plexiglass, removing it before the session is preferred. This helps achieve the clearest and most accurate image. If removal isn’t possible, I can use specialized techniques to minimize reflections and glare; a $15 fee per artwork applies.
Artwork Size
My studio can typically accommodate artwork up to 72 x 72 inches. Larger pieces may still be possible, so please feel free to reach out and we can discuss the best approach for your work.
Artwork Packaging
To help protect your artwork and reduce waste, I enthusiastically encourage using reusable packing materials whenever possible. Please avoid single-use stretch plastic wrap, as this material is impossible to reuse. Simple cardboard and a few layers of bubble wrap inside a sturdy box is generally best.
Of course, UPS and FedEx will help you pack and ship any item you need help with. If you’d like to do it yourself, I found this fantastic YouTuber to give you an idea of a simple, sturdy way to package your artwork for shipping: How to Ship Canvas Art on a Budget, Krystal Cole Art
